French saxophonist, keyboardist, and composer Laurent Bardainne is a prominent voice in contemporary French jazz and genre-blending music. A graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, he has co-founded and performed in a wide range of acclaimed projects, including Limousine with Maxime Delpierre, Rigolus with Thomas de Pourquery, and the electro-rock group Poni Hoax with Nicolas Ker. In 2017, he formed the duo LOST with singer Camélia Jordana. The following year, Bardainne founded Tigre d’Eau Douce, a quintet known for its fluid, groove-oriented sound drawing on jazz, soul, and cinematic influences. Their 2022 album Hymne au Soleil was named Album of the Year by French jazz media and ranked among France’s best-selling jazz releases. Bardainne’s collaborations and projects showcase his versatility, from deep jazz improvisation to atmospheric, filmic composition.
