VaB (Nigeria)

VaB, born Victor Abbey Blessed, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer gaining recognition for his blend of Afrobeats, R&B, soul, and gospel. Raised in a musical household with a church background—his father was a pastor—he began playing drums and keyboard at a young age before studying Electrical / Electronic Engineering at the University of Port Harcourt, where he graduated with first-class honors in 2023. VaB’s music draws from both spiritual and street influences, reflecting his dual engagement with faith and contemporary life. Currently signed to Lagos-based CHROME Entertainment, he debuted with the single “Jeje” and followed it with the 6-track EP Surprise You in 2024, showcasing his range across different Afrobeats substyles.
