Twanguero, the stage name of Spanish-born guitar virtuoso Diego Garcia, is celebrated for his poetic phrasing, fluid fingerpicking, and distinctive "twang" tone. Hailed as "Spain's King of Twang" by Guitar Player magazine, Garcia trained at the prestigious Conservatory of Valencia from the age of six, earning recognition as one of Spain’s finest guitarists. A Latin Grammy winner, he has collaborated with renowned artists like Mercedes Sosa, Juanes, and Wyclef Jean and contributed to numerous film and television soundtracks.

Now based in Los Angeles, Garcia’s music reflects his multicultural influences, blending North American rock and country with Latin American bolero, cumbia, and rumba. Known for his dynamic live performances, Twanguero has built an international reputation as a "fire-breathing guitar hero" who seamlessly bridges tradition and innovation.

Twanguero describes "Pupilas" (Pupils) as a "cumbia chill” that blends Colombian cumbia rhythms with cinematic Western flair. Featuring Dominican-American singer-songwriter Alih Jey, the track is a standout example of Twanguero's genre-defying creativity. “Pupils of fire and honey / Ignited by the night / Sentinels of hearts / That break again.”
