Saïna Manotte is a popular singer and songwriter from French Guiana whose work draws deeply on Creole language and local traditions. After years of independently producing and releasing music and videos, she became widely recognized across the French Caribbean for a style that blends contemporary songwriting with traditional rhythms and themes rooted in her Guyanese identity. She writes, composes, and performs her own material, often centering resilience, identity, femininity, and connection to place. Her debut album Ki Moun Mo Sa (2019) established her as a distinct voice from French Guiana, leading to performances on French television and live appearances across the Caribbean and beyond.

“Mo Toujou La” (I Am Still Here) is a song in theFrench Caribbean zouk style that touches on themes of endurance and self-affirmation. Sung largely in Guyanese Creole and framed as a personal declaration, the lyrics move through loss, disappointment, and disillusionment before returning to resolve. “Standing before life / Like an olive tree facing the storm / Nothing will ever break me / Neither life nor its pain / When I fall, I rise again / Standing I am, standing I will remain."
