Pedro Emílio is a singer, songwriter, and multidisciplinary artist born in Salvador, Brazil, and based in São Paulo. He gained wider recognition during the pandemic by sharing self-produced videos that drew millions of views online, and has since built a body of work rooted in Brazilian popular music, known as MPB, that moves between intimate acoustic textures and contemporary production. His 2025 debut album Enquanto os Distraídos Amam earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album, and his 2026 follow-up Vende-se Lembrança continues that trajectory, weaving together emotional memory, Brazilian identity, and contemporary sounds across nine tracks.

“Coisa Gostosa” (Sweet Thing) has a bright, dance- driven funk vibe, blending nostalgic textures with production rooted in classic Brazilian musical references. The song tells of spotting someone on a street resonating with a samba beat and being immediately drawn in, the song’s warmth building toward something simple, sensual and domestic: “I want to whisper sweet nothings in your ear / I want to make our Sunday brunch / You and me, I’ve got everything I need.”
