Singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer and poet, Péri was born and raised in the city of Salvador, Bahia, birthplace of João Gilberto, Dorival Caymmi, Gal Costa, Margareth Menezes and other Brazilian music icons who were his inspiration. Péri’s fourth album, 2005’s "Samba Passarinho," which featured this rendition of the José and Wilson Batista classic “Me Mundo É Hoje” (My World is Today), earned him a Latin GRAMMY nomination and many other accolades.

“This is me,” Péri sings, “Whoever wants to enjoy me, this is me / My world is today / There is no tomorrow, for me.
