Hailing from Santiago, Chile, Josefa Ibarra is a multifaceted artist with a passion for music and cultural exploration. Since relocating to Geneva, Switzerland in 2016, Josefa has been working on a solo project that fuses her diverse musical influences into a captivating blend of Latin American pop. With a solid educational background, including a BA in Musical Composition and MAS in Piano and Musical Pedagogy, Ibarra brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her craft. Drawing from her roots and the rich tapestry of her upbringing, Ibarra's music reflects her evolving relationship with the world around her, blending the sounds of Latin American music with influences from pop, jazz, and classical genres.  Through her music, Josefa explores themes of self-discovery, resilience, and love, drawing listeners into a journey that is both introspective and inspiring.

Ibarra’s track "Eres el Viento" (You Are the Wind) celebrates the liberating nature of a love that allows individuals to embrace their true selves. The song challenges the notion of completing each other as halves, emphasizing instead the importance of being whole individuals before entering a relationship. Rather than an unchanging romantic love, a healthier love is one that is continually renewed on a daily basis. Ibarra sings, “It's been a while since I understood / That life is not sacred / That love is a breeze / And that the eternal is fleeting.”
