Mike Rauss (Israel / Spain)

Mike Rauss is a Barcelona-based singer, guitarist, and songwriter whose life has been shaped by constant travel. Born in Israel to a nomadic family, he grew up moving through the UK and Europe, absorbing diverse traditions and creating a style that blends funk, folk, flamenco, and groove-driven songwriting. His performances often combine live looping, beatbox, and soulful singing. Alongside his solo work, Rauss tours with his sister Kim under the name KAYAM, playing a cross-cultural style they affectionately label “Falafel Pop."

“Let It Go” was written more than a decade ago with Michele Grifone, a singer, songwriter, and vocal coach based in Cologne. Grifone and Rauss first played the song on the streets where it became a favorite during their busking sets. Reuniting years later, the two finally recorded it in 2025, combining layered guitar rhythms, a driving groove, and expressive vocals that capture both the energy of their early performances and the maturity of their current artistry. “Just close your eyes and you will find paradise / Its in your mind / Breathe in breathe out / Your worries are all about to vanish soon."
