Luísa Sobral is a Portuguese singer-songwriter whose career began in 2011 with the release of her debut album The Cherry on My Cake. She has released several albums since, becoming a well-known figure in the Portuguese music scene. She is also known for writing “Amar Pelos Dois,” performed by her brother Salvador Sobral, which won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017. In addition to her solo work, she has composed for artists like Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Ana Moura and Mayra Andrade and produced for others including Joana Alegre and Luís Trigacheiro. Sobral has also released music and books for children and hosts a podcast on songwriting.
