Les Yeux D’la Tête (France)

Les Yeux D’la Tête is a six-member French band formed in Paris in 2008, blending swing, dancefloor, acoustic punk, chanson, and manouche swing into an energetic, danceable sound. The band has played more than 1,000 concerts across 12 countries and built a particularly strong following in Germany alongside their home audience in France. Frontman Benoit Rose writes and composes much of the band’s material, joined by Eddy Lopez on saxophone and backing vocals, Xavier Hamon on drums and percussion, Rodrigue Fernandes on accordion, Stéphane Berti on guitar, and Philippe Burneau on bass and backing vocals. Their new album, La vie estbelle (2025), was written on the road over two years of touring and centers on themes of hope, connection, and savoring life’s joys.

“Ça ira mieux demain” (Things Will Be Better Tomorrow) is one of the album’s most hopeful tracks, written by Benoit Rose and composed collectively by the full band. Set against a bleak, autumnal opening, the song turns toward comfort and resolve: “Today it’s dark, the sky’s still asleep / Guess it didn’t rest so well last night / Everything’s grey, the world feels empty / It’ll be better tomorrow, better tomorrow.”
