Born in San Gil, Colombia, Landinez began as a traveling musician across South America, telling stories of love, loss, and rural life. Blending tender melodies with Colombian rhythms like cumbia and carranga, he draws on the landscapes of Santander, where he grew up. Now based in Stockholm, Sweden, his songs often reflect migration, cultural hybridity, and longing for home shaped by distance, memory, and personal experience. He releases music through his label INDIEzito Music and explores side projects spanning lo-fi cumbia and ambient textures that expand his creative range.
Featured Songs:
“Malamente” (Badly) features singer Caro Luna, who was raised in Stockholm by Uruguayan parents. The Global Indie song is a bittersweet reflection on the end of a turbulent love affair. “I'm no longer focused on your absence / I'm glad to know I've finally lost you / I no longer have doubts that confuse and hurt / No more poisonous kisses / Nor fake greetings pretending to be friends / We realized we didn’t love each other.”
The Love Songs Around the World track, “Como Quisiera” (How I Wish), featuring Colombian singer Camila Pedrozo, imagines romance in the countryside under a cold rain, with prayers, crops, and seasons marking the passage of time. From Pelaya in Colombia’s Cesar region, Pedrozo brings Afro-Colombian roots and a voice shaped by cumbia, vallenato, and bailes cantados. “Oh how I wish you’d come out to the countryside when it rains / So I could hold you in the furrows while my little field grows again / But you’re not here beneath this downpour where I’m dying of cold / And my heart is trembling if only you wished to be here.”
