LA COYA is an Ecuadorian artist whose music blends Latin American rhythms with contemporary global styles. Based in Paris, she draws from the sounds of the Ecuadorian Pacific, the Andes, and the Amazon, fusing them with reggaeton, hip-hop and electronic music. Her lyrics—written in both Spanish and French—express the experience of a young migrant woman reshaping tradition with bold creativity. LA COYA’s work has reached audiences across Europe and Latin America, including performances at Festival Sensacional in Brazil, appearances on national television, and an opening slot for Natalia Lafourcade at the Olympia in Paris. With a background in behavioral economics and experience working at Universal Music France, she brings both intellectual rigor and deep cultural passion to her craft.

The bolero “Aventura” (Adventure), released as a single in 2025, features Sebastián Betancur on congas and bongos, Rafael Mejías on güiro, claves, and backing vocals, and Roi Luis on guitar and production, while LA COYA contributes lyrics, lead vocals, and vocal arrangements. The song celebrates desire, vulnerability, and romantic escape: “Let’s go on this adventure / You came like a cure / Softly, you’ve got me tangled / You fell from the sky, right by my side."
