Kosmik Band, led by producer and composer Enzo Buono, blends a variety of global music traditions. Buono, a global musical explorer who is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, came to Chicago in 1991 to pursue his musical career. He is a co-founder of the Playing for Change project that brings together musicians of many cultures to record viral versions of recognizable songs. Traveling the world over, Buono has worked with artists like Bono, Manu Chao, Jackson Brown, Poncho Sanchez, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, T-Bone Burnett and Stephen Marley, among others. Kosmik Band continues this mission, delivering powerful performances that inspire connection and celebrate the universal language of music, embodying the spirit of global unity and creativity. With members hailing from many different countries Kosmik Band creates a “spiritual and musical fusion of the world’s mantras, African rhythms and Latin grooves”.
