Kelly Hyde is a singer-songwriter whose music bridges folk, bluegrass, reggae, and “island folk.” Raised between New York’s Delaware River, the shores of South Jersey, and Key Largo, she grew up in a family steeped in music, with early influences ranging from Paul Simon and The Beatles to Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. After discovering the baritone ukulele during her travels in Hawaii, Hyde found her voice as a songwriter, blending uplifting lyrics with melodies rooted in both modern and natural worlds. Since releasing her debut Incredible Journey (2014) and The Star That Met the Tide (2018), she has continued to evolve her sound while opening for artists like Medicine for the People, Paula Fuga, and Pato Banton. In 2021, Hyde teamed up with bluegrass legend Peter Rowan to release a version of the classic John Anderson song “Seminole Wind.”

Recorded with Australian musician Bobby Alu, “Little Lucky” suggests that happiness can be found in celebrating life’s fleeting, everyday moments: “Of all those days you prayed to see the light / When all those shades of gray don’t seem so bright / You got me feeling little lucky to be seeing it by your side / We gotta feel a little lucky to be feeling little lucky sometimes.”
