Izethekeli Band, meaning "Visitors" in Ndebele, is a vibrant musical group founded in Vienna, Austria, in 2017 by Zimbabwean artists Blessings Nqo Nkomo and Jonathan Wise. Joined by Roben Mlauzi and a diverse lineup of international musicians, including Florian Heinisch, Chris Beer, Gabriel Froihofer, and Castro Sibide Coulibaly, the band blends Southern African imbube acapella with Western folk-pop to create a unique and captivating sound. Their music celebrates life, cultural heritage, and the African philosophy of ubuntu, emphasizing human interconnectedness. Known for their electrifying performances and dynamic choreography, Izethekeli Band inspires audiences to embrace the joy of movement and unity. As musical ambassadors, they remind us that we are all "visitors" on Earth, connected by a shared journey of rhythm, culture, and humanity.
