Gnoss has emerged as one of Scotland’s most celebrated contemporary folk ensembles, blending traditional roots with fresh, innovative energy. Formed by Orkney musicians Graham Rorie and Aidan Moodie alongside Connor Sinclair from Perthshire and Stirling’s Craig Baxter, the Glasgow-based quartet has been captivating audiences for nearly a decade. Their live performances are marked by dynamic interplay and emotional warmth, drawing acclaim at major festivals including Celtic Connections, Tønder Festival in Denmark, and Festival Interceltique de Lorient. Triple nominees at the BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards, they have expanded their international profile with tours across Europe, Australia, and North America, while their 2023 album Stretching Skyward reached over two million streams in its first year.
