El Feeling is a Colombian group that blends the folkloric sounds of Latin America with modern, global influences. Currently based in Los Angeles, the band consists of Carolina Cobo (vocals), Seache (accordion), and Sergio Aldana (electric guitar). Drawing from their Colombian roots and international journeys, they incorporate traditional instruments like the gaita along with Afro-Colombian percussion into their contemporary sound. Their music reflects a cross-cultural narrative, rooted in ancestral rhythm while embracing experimentation. The group has become part of a growing movement of Latin American artists who reinterpret folkloric traditions through an electronic and alternative lens, creating a style that is both grounded and globally resonant.

Originally released as a single in 2020, “Tumba Catimba” was reimagined by producer and
composer Joel López, aka Em9. Known for his genre-fluid approach and signature use of the E minor ninth chord, Em9 brings a textured, meditative vibe to the remix, layering nylon guitar, organic sampling, and ancestral woodwinds. The track is largely instrumental, with only fragments of the original vocals by Carolina Cobo shimmering through. “Tumba Catimba” loosely translates as “Drum of Trickery” or “Rhythm of Mischief” and evokes the spellbinding power of rhythm.
