“Kem Mi É” (Who I Am) is a declaration of individuality and a response to social pressures to conform. The song opens with a refusal to change for others: “I can’t change who I am / The things that I do / The things that I say / It’s all up to me, not you.” The chorus affirms mutual respect: “You are who you are / I am who I am.” The lyrics close with a call for acceptance: “Love you for who you are / Love me for who I am.”
