Based in Amsterdam, Dei.3avu (pronounced “déjàvu”) is a six-member reggae band formed by a close-knit group of friends united by their love of music and positive vibration. Though self-taught, the group has developed a sophisticated sound that blends roots reggae with elements of soul, spirituality, and modern groove. Their name evokes familiarity, but their music feels fresh—an uplifting mix of deep bass lines, melodic hooks, and heartfelt harmonies designed to spread love and raise consciousness.

Their song “Happy People” radiates warmth and optimism from its first beat, driven by shimmering guitar, pulsing organ, and a soulful brass line. Singer Elvin Woerdings invites listeners to let go of worry and move together in joy: “Why don’t you share a smile, if not just for a while / Don’t let the mood of bad mind people in life get you down.” Later, the chorus brings everyone to the dance floor with a call to “Come make we buggle, juggle to this joyful sound.” The result is pure musical sunshine—a celebration of unity, rhythm, and the universal spirit of reggae.
