"Mopanaqui” (Invocation) is a mystic, rhythmic ode to the sacred feminine figures of Afro-Brazilian spirituality. Invoking pombagiras (powerful female spiritual entities in Afro-Brazilian religions) the song celebrates their sensual energy and independence Costa’s earthy vocals and hypnotic percussion create a trance-like atmosphere that bridges the spiritual and the sensual, honoring Brazil’s deep Afro-Atlantic heritage.
