Boogát is a trilingual rapper, singer, and producer who fluidly blends Latin rhythms, hip-hop, and global bass with a conscious and humorous lyrical approach. Based in Montreal and of Mexican and Paraguayan descent, he is a prominent voice in Canada’s global music scene, celebrated for his exploration of identity, migration, belonging, and love. Whether rapping in Spanish, French, or English, Boogát’s music is both socially reflective and deeply danceable. His innovative cross-genre style has garnered him international recognition, multiple awards, and collaborations with artists such as El Dusty, DJ Shub, and members of Olodum. His latest album Del Horizonte (2024) continues his bold, genre-defying journey, addressing themes of decolonization and cultural resilience.

“E.P.N.S.L.S.” is a mostly instrumental track from Del Horizonte, co-written with pianist Julian Gutierrez Vinardell and percussionist Eugenio R. Osorio. The title, cryptic and evocative, sets the stage for a layered, rhythmic exploration built on sampled textures, electric guitar, and Afro-Caribbean percussion. The groove moves with hypnotic subtlety, grounded in Latin tradition yet filtered through an electronic, experimental lens.
