Rhythm & Blues [1/15 – 1/21]

16 Jan

Rhythm and Blues traces its roots to early American blues and gospel, and grew into its own full-fledged genre under the boogie-woogie piano of New Orleans and the big bands of the 1940s. It has since spread the world over, and has even given rise to other genres, such as soul and modern R&B. Join us this week as we soak up the soulful sounds of Rhythm and Blues, from its home in New Orleans, to Africa and South America.
