Clara Bellar with Dori Caymmi (France/Brazil)

Born and raised in Paris, Clara Bellar is a versatile artist who speaks French, English, Portuguese, Spanish and German. Bellar’s debut album, "My Brazilian Heart," was produced and arranged by multiple GRAMMY winner Dori Caymmi, and features guest appearances by Caymmi, Milton Nascimento and João Bosco. Bellar is also a celebrated actress who has appeared in several major Hollywood and European films.

“Canto das Três Raças” is a Brazilian classic made famous in the 1970s by renowned samba singer Clara Nunes. Composed by Mario Duarte and Nunes’ husband poet Paulo César Pinheiro, the song tells of the three cultures – Indigenous, European, and African – whose fraught interactions led to the blend of joy and sorrow that makes Brazilian music so remarkable.
