Here’s a good song to monkey around to. Children love to jump up and down like monkeys, bouncing on the bed like it’s a trampoline. If you are not careful, though, you might fall off and bump your head. So listen to what Mama and the Doctor say in this song, and don’t jump on the bed! Asheba is from Trinidad, an island in the Caribbean Sea (which also happens to be the home of the Red Howler Monkey, the White-Fronted Capuchin Monkey and lots of other, interesting animals). When Asheba was growing up, he listened to fun, Caribbean musical styles, such as calypso, soca and reggae. Asheba gives a tropical twist to this classic children’s rhyme.
A portion of Putumayo’s proceeds from the sale of this album will be donated to the
Wildlife Conservation Society, headquartered at the world famous Bronx Zoo, in support of its activities that save wildlife and wild lands.
