Putumayo World Music’s commitment to educating children about other cultures and providing resources to communities where the music originates has evolved. For the past two years, Putumayo has focused its non-profit efforts on the Putumayo Cross-Cultural Initiative, providing multi-cultural education programming to under-privileged schools in the U.S. The company has also continued to support non-profits such as Coffee Kids, Oxfam America and others working in different parts of the world.

In an effort to reach beyond the United States, Putumayo will discontinue PCCI and work with other international organizations to support multi-cultural education around the world. Putumayo will also continue to support specific organizations working in the countries where the music originates.
