Taj Mahal
No artist has done more than Taj Mahal to help bring the sound of traditional acoustic blues to a wider audience. While Taj was interested in all types of roots music (over the years he has written and recorded African, Caribbean and Hawaiian-influenced music), he was most attracted to the blues. Since then, Taj Mahal has released more than 40 albums, and their eclectic variety of American roots, African, Indian, Caribbean and Polynesian influences reflects the adventurous tastes of one of popular music’s more open-minded artists.
